Ryan S. Burresch, Associate Attorney at Rich, Fuidge, Bordsen & Galyean focusing on Criminal, Family & Real Property Law

Ryan S. Burresch

Associate Attorney | Criminal, Family & Real Property Law

Ryan S. Burresch is an associate attorney at Rich, Fuidge, Bordsen & Galyean practicing in criminal law, family law, and real property law. Before joining the firm in 2024, Mr. Burresch served as a Deputy District Attorney prosecuting criminal cases for the people of California, and later as a criminal defense attorney representing individuals facing the same charges from the other side. Before law, he worked in cattle ranching and the retail industry — the kind of real-world background that helps a trial attorney connect with juries and clients in the rural Yuba-Sutter region.

Practice Focus

Mr. Burresch’s experience on both sides of criminal practice — prosecution and defense — is unusual and meaningful. As a former Deputy District Attorney, he learned how prosecutors build their cases, evaluate evidence, and negotiate plea offers. As a former criminal defense attorney, he learned how to dismantle weak prosecution cases, protect client rights, and obtain favorable resolutions. Today he brings that dual perspective to RFBG’s criminal defense practice.

Beyond criminal law, Mr. Burresch handles family law matters — divorce, custody, support, restraining orders — and real property law issues throughout Yuba and Sutter Counties. The intersection of these practice areas serves clients well: criminal charges often arise in the context of family disputes, and family law matters frequently involve real property division.
